Hello,
Tanner has already posted today, but I wanted to share the incredible day I had.
Here at Primary's they have a Sacrament service here at 10:30 that is only a half hour. I went down and sat by a lady who is also staying at the same house. as we were saying our hello's I noticed an Apostle of our Lord walk in. It was Elder Ballard! Tears started to flow at just the sight of him, he was with his beautiful wife and visiting their great-granddaughter who is a patient here. He quietly went to a seat behind me. At the start of the meeting they welcomed him. The meeting is only a half hour long, so the sacrament was blessed and past. A couple of testimonies we shared, one of a women in her 40's or so told of her trip to family's
on Thanksgiving day, they were in a terrible accident, she told of how she buried her Husband and daughter yesterday and daughter is here. For just a moment my pain was not so bad, what a beautiful spirit she had. At the end of our meeting Elder Ballard stood to share his Testimony, it was beautiful, He said " as an Apostle of the Lord I have the power and the keys to invoke the blessings of heaven to those who were there and needed comfort and and healing, and then he invoked the blessing. What a beautiful moment. After the meeting ended many went to shake his hand but I needing a mother's touch, I moved to visit his wife, we talked for a minute about Tanner and what it means to be a mother, and I thanked her for sharing her husband, she is a elegant woman. Then I went down to shake the hand of and Apostle, His hand was gentle and soft, kindness and concern was his thought. I told of a Tanner who had just received his called and was diagnosed with cancer, he said " give him our best regards and our prayers our with him".
That was a meeting I will never forget. "Tender mercies" we see them daily from the love of family and friends, and from a Apostle of lord lord Jesus Christ when you least expect it.
Thank you for your thoughts and prayers
Love to all
Kristi
