Feb 27

I came down friday after work and plan to stay through monday night. When I arrived I knew his blood counts were on the move up so I had in the back of my mind planned on taking him home on monday as that would be the day from past discharges . But on Saturday morning his counts regressed and again showed no monocytes, so when I arrived here this morning needless to say still no monocytes, Tanner was more than a bit disappointed. Last night he had a nose bleed that was a bit troublesome but is due to low platelets. So I am now just planning on driving home early tuesday and going to work.

I woke up today and it was a little cloudy and decided to go for a walk. It is funny how during the day the traffic in downtown can be so crowded but this morning there was not a soul out, I think I only saw 3 cars drive by and 1 person out walking dogs. I was really nice to get out.

I attended sacrament meeting here today and as usual it is amazingly spiritual. And today was no exception. The closing hymn was "I am a child of god" the first line of the third verse states "I am a child of god, rich blessings are in store". This went right along with the topic of the meeting which was faith. We need to have faith that blessing are indeed in store for us, sometimes we need to just look for them.

That is pretty much my thoughts for the day, as my motto lately has been it is indeed one day at a time.

Thank you for keeping my family in your prayers
Robert

  1. I just found your blog and I am so happy that I did. You will all be in our prayers. We pray that when transplant time comes that all will go great and that Tanner can get back to his healthy self. Good luck with everything! We know that you are an amazingly strong family and we don't expect anything but great things for all of you!
