Hello,
Today is day 3 of Chemo, when I got to Tanner's room this morning, he was not doing very well. He had a high fever of 103.8 and was covered with a red rash, and his blood pressure was at 100/35, so they called the Dr's in and started antibiotics, Tylenol, blood pressure meds and blood draws, the nurses stayed for continuous care, it was a bit scary for a couple hours but he is doing much better now. He is sleeping well and looks much better. The Dr's are a little complexed because this sometimes happens when they have received ARA-C (a chemo drug) but he had not received it yet today. So we will stay on antibiotics to make sure there is nothing else going on.
We are in room 3062 for the next 5 or 6 days his counts are still good so they will keep him here till they drop then we go up to ics for the remainder of the month.
We now have a very nice place to stay in Salt Lake for the next 4 months. It is a 2 bed 2 bath with a small kitchen that works great. We are so grateful to have it, and to those who provided it for our family.
