Tanner has been experiencing severe stomach pain since his exit from the icu, It has be decided he has pancreatitis, typhlitis, and whats called third space, this is where plasma of the blood is leaking out of the vascular system into the chest cavity. Any one of these is not good, but all three is terrible. Fevers, high heart rates and pain have all been hard to control. To heal the pancreatitis and typhlitis this involves no food or liquids since last Saturday, he was finally able to have water yesterday. His pain is a little better today as well.
Now for the worse news, Tanner has to many cancer cells to go to transplant, his body has become immune to the chemo, and is not responding to treatment. They are searching for another out patient chemo that he hasn't received, that his cancer may respond too.
So for now the plan is to get his stomach better and get him out of the hospital to enjoy some sunshine.
Please send your prayers our way, this is critical they find the right drugs for Tanner.
Please be patient with us, This has been extremely hard on our family. We love you and are so grateful for your love and prayers.

ReplyDeleteThis new breaks our hearts! You do not need to ask for patience from any of us! I can't even imagine how extremely difficult it would be coping with it all!
ReplyDeleteIf I could I would just make it all better. It is so incomprehensible that Tanner has been through such horrible pain and suffering and then for it to not even work! And for you to have to watch him go through it all!! It just doesn't seem fair!
Yet I know that Heavenly Father has a perfect love for you and your family, where my love is imperfect, yet we love your family so, so much! I know there is an army of people praying their hearts out for your family, including us!
So I know that you are in the hands of our Savior. I know that He knows exactly what you are all going through and there is a purpose beyond our understanding. I know you are loved by Heavenly Father and our Savior more than we can even imagine! This is an extreme trial of your faith, but after the trial of your faith comes the blessing. Those blessings are going to be huge because your trials are huge!
Let His loving arms console you and help you through every minute of this is my prayer!
